The Jaden Cornelious Foundation

                                   Proudly Presents

            January is Unwanted Toy MONTH  in North Devon !!!!

Tiz the season for giving and receiving many gifts….unfortunately our old teddy bear or  jigsaw is sent to the back of the toy cupboard until later in the year…when it may get re used or sent to a charity shop or worse…THE BIN !!!!

I have been lucky to get to know a wonderfully talented lady and International recording Artist – Jennifer Crestol who is currently living in Romania. Jennifer has recently become a patron of the Jaden Cornelious Foundation.

We spoke recently about a children’s home that she regularly visits that provide a safe place for children who have no relatives and that do not have long to live due to a fatal disease.  Jennifer will soon be recording The International Children’s Anthem ‘The Wish Fulfilling Tree’ to raise awareness re: her work with these children in Romania. I was very touched when Jennifer explained how she wanted to help.

Due to the success of The Totally Olivia Tour, which runs until Mar 2010  I am unable at present to do a fundraising concert, however I though it would be a great idea that for the month of January I would ask if any local business would support the January is Unwanted Toy MONTH  in North Devon !!!! By opening up their business to be a receiving port for any unwanted or old ( but clean and safe) toys….I will then find a nice Lorry Driver or Export firm that would drop the toys ( Just like Santa – but a bit late) to this home in Romania.

Oliver Chope of Chopes in Bideford and Lee Sycamore of The Old Market  Inn in Holsworthy have agreed to be a TOY DROP ZONE. The JCF team will pick up the toys and get them delivered by the end of February ( price willing) to the Children’s home.  I will be meeting up with Jennifer in Romania before the end of Spring and will be able to go and meet the kids in the home and to see how your gifts have brought smiles to their faces…..

So Please can you place this on your website, in your papers or forward it to anyone you know that will help!!!

Here's the latest novel by Victoria Eveleigh who is a local West Country novelist.  Her husband Chris illustrated the book (I wonder if they sell paintings too?   Will have to enquire).  Anyway, to find out more about these lovely books and also about the holiday accomodation they offer at West Ilkerton, go to their own website which is www.tortoise-publishing.co.uk

They will even sign a copy for you and post it or you can buy these books at Waterstones, Walter Henry's in Bideford and other good bookshops or even online through Amazon.

APPEAL

Hi There,

My name is Jaden Cornelious, I am a UK based classical singer  and I am currently embarking on a tour called  The Totally Olivia Tour to raise money for The Olivia Appeal, Full Speed 2 a Cure and Cure Breast Cancer.

My challenge was to find a group of non singing backing singers to form a backing vocal group and for us all to learn 30+ Olivia Newton-John songs to perform a musical evening to try to raise £10,000+ for the 3 campaigns we start in Sep and finish at the end of March 2010.

During this time we have become good ONJ fans and would ask if you, your forum/site could support us in our efforts…

My website is www.jadencornelious.com  and would be great if any ONJ fans could either come to see one of our shows or sign my guestbook to show support…

I want to raise more than £10,000 and know that your support will help loads…

Thank you for your time

Jaden Cornelious

Another heartwarming story that sounds like it came out of Hollywood......... go to Tula's Travels

I'm beginning to think you could make a blockbuster movie about my life!

There's also a video of me plastered on her page.

Do I Tell The Chicken........?

At my yard there is a hen that has been sitting on a large bale of hay obviously keeping her new babies to be born warm.  Being kind-hearted, I gave her some grain and as I tried to encourage her to have a drink she started clucking with indignation at being disturbed whilst doing this most important of jobs.  Flap, flap went the wings and off she shot across the barn.  Interested to see how many eggs she was hatching I took a peek.  And there to my surprise was a 150ml bottle of Morrisons apple hair conditioner.  Do I tell her now or when I  need it for the ponies next bath?

 PHOTO'S AND VIDEO'S OF GIN & TONICS FOAL

 And isn't she as pretty as we said she is?

There are video's of her from a matter of minutes after she was born to the present.  Go to Gintys Jaunts and then the Open Day page to watch the first installments and find out her name.  She's full of character, very brave and cheeky.  She enjoyed her party and helped herself off the table!

Flora and mum Ginty went to North Devon Show on Aug 5th.  The judge was very impressed with our little beauty so we will be back again next year and also we will be taking her to the Futurity at The Grange.

                                                                                       Oh God isnt she cute?  Can't believe she's ours.

STALLION PAGE NEEDED?

I will go with what's needed.  Put your boys here.  Video's are welcome of them strutting their stuff.

Email video's to  alison@poniesdevon.co.uk . If you would like me to video your horse and depending on where you are, I will video your stallion and put him on this website for free.  If you are beyond 10miles Bideford, please email.

MAILBOXES.......

I found these lovely mailboxes on the internet and wish I had a driveway long enough to justify having one!  There are loads of designs, including lions, an aeroplane, the Simpsons, dolphins, swans, flamingo's, wolves,, rabbits, pigs etc etc.

They are handpainted by a Canadian called Michel Devost and he has his own website so take a look at the variety he has to offer

 Kids See if you can find Tufty the pony on this site.

Each month I will 'hide'       He's hidden again!

DOGS

Dog walkers may find the site of use as there is a section on favourite rides which you can obviously use. Also, when there is a dog show held in conjuntion with a horse show, I have listed the details in the Calendar, see left (or if it is held at an equestrian centre).   I try to put in 'pit stops'  ok, loo stops for humans but we live in North Devon so lets be sensible about this, they are few and far between.

There's also a 'dogs for sale' page and this will include dog shows.

 NB My two dogs, Kizzy (doddery old Border Collie lacking hearing, eyesight and intelligence) and Tzar (GSD lacking a gene that stops him from continually maulting and whinning) have completed a photo shoot for WellCollard and will be featuring on their site - and this one soon. (Photo's now on this site on the Dogs Page)

 DO YOU LIKE PONY VIDEO'S?

 On poniesdevon we have two pages dedicated to two gorgeous ponies.  One is our mascot, Tufty who is the naughtiest of the two, and Gin & Tonic - aka Ginty who is the lead mare and just a brilliant pony allround.

Tufty is forever getting into mischief and doing things he shouldn't.  He's a proper cheeky Dartmoor Hill Pony with that little glint in his eye that says "I'm bored, I'm going to be a pain" and is brilliant at embarassing you when you least want it to happen.  The day is never dull when Tufty is around.

```````````
Ginty is well aware that she's the bees knees and expects every other horse and pony around her to treat her like a queen.  On the other hand she is the most dependable pony and you can guarantee she will do anything asked of her so respects her human owners.
Gin & Tonic
 also  foaled in the spring which is her first foal.
`````````````

Both pages contain every day happenings in the lives of Tufty and Ginty and photo's/video's that are taken when I happen to have my camera running.  Unfortunately I miss LOADS.

 Thank you, but........

Hopefully this will become a popular and informative site and grow but its your  site, not mine. I did it for  people like me who adore their ponies/horses.  I do need your input so feel free to email me with any diary dates, funny happenings, mini breakthroughs you may have.

I also think a lost/stolen page might be a good idea.  I'm open to suggestions.

TORSION SADDLES

As anyone who knows me will know, I love my Torsion saddle and would never go back to a 'treed' saddle.  I can't praise them enough and even after riding for up to 5 hours I never get a sore derriere.  To find out the benefits of riding in a treeless saddle, go to http://www.torsionsaddles.co.uk/ProductsTorsion.htm and don't forget to mention you saw the advert on poniesdevon
